Mator (Pothwar.com, Kabir Ahmed Janjua, September 20, 2024)<\/em> \u2013 Kahuta’s health department has come under criticism following the sudden closure of clinics run by two well-respected doctors, Dr. Captain Muhammad Shafiq and Dr. Muhammad Aleem. Both doctors are known for their dedicated service to the underprivileged communities of Kahuta, Kashmir, and Kallar Syedan, offering medical checkups and medications for as little as PKR 350. The decision to shut down their clinics while allowing others to remain operational has led to widespread discontent, with many accusing the department of favoritism.<\/h4>\n

Prominent local political figure, Mujeeb Ullah Satti, also known as Dr. Munna, expressed his dismay over the closures. He lauded the doctors as true servants of the people, who have selflessly provided care without any personal financial gain. He further criticized private hospital owners in the area, alleging that they exploit the poor for profit, especially by conducting unnecessary surgeries on pregnant women.<\/h4>\n

Satti called on the Commissioner of Rawalpindi to take immediate notice of the situation and order the reopening of the clinics, which have been a lifeline for many in the region.
