Rawat (Pothwar.com, Ikram-ul-Haq Qureshi, July 24, 2024)<\/strong> \u2014 Thanks to the exceptional investigation and solid evidence provided by Rawat Police, the honourable court has convicted the accused in the 2018 narcotics case. The convict is a former employee of the Punjab Police. The honourable court sentenced Raheel Mahfooz, a resident of Chatta Hathial, to 10 years in prison and imposed a fine of 125,000 rupees. Failure to pay the fine will result in an additional six months of imprisonment.<\/h4>\n

The convict was dismissed from the police department in 2018 and subsequently engaged in the reprehensible act of drug trafficking. In February of the same year, he was arrested by ASI Umar Abbas after 1750 grams of heroin were recovered from him. Due to the effective prosecution and compelling evidence, the honourable court handed down a fitting punishment to the convict.<\/h4>\n

Meanwhile, CPO Syed Khalid Hamdani praised SSP Investigation Zunaira Azfar, as well as the investigation and legal teams, commending them for their efforts. He emphasized that the crackdown against drug dealers will continue in order to eradicate the scourge of narcotics.<\/h4>\n
