Bewal, Gujar Khan (Pothwar.com, Raja Tariq Ayub, January 21, 2024) \u2014 In a tragic incident in Bewal, unidentified assailants opened fire, resulting in the killing of a WAPDA employee. Upon receiving information about the incident, a significant police contingent rushed to Bewal and initiated an investigation after taking custody of the deceased’s body.<\/h4>\n

According to details, Mahmood-ul-Hassan, son of Muhammad Banaras, an employee of WAPDA in Bewal, was shot around 2:00 AM near Bewal Bridge last night. Reportedly, Mahmood-ul-Hassan was being taken to the hospital as his health deteriorated. While on the way, individuals on a motorcycle fired directly at him. As a result of the attack, Mahmood-ul-Hasan sustained injuries, and despite efforts to save him, he succumbed to his wounds.<\/h4>\n

The Gujar Khan police have taken custody of the deceased’s body and have commenced a thorough investigation into the incident. The motive behind the attack and the identity of the assailants are yet to be determined. The community is in shock over this unfortunate incident, and local authorities are working to bring the perpetrators to justice.<\/h4>\n
