London: (Pothwar.com, Mohammad Naseer Raja, 09, December 2023) \u2013A gang of international drug smugglers from the West Midlands have been jailed for a combined 53 years after \u00a31.6million of cocaine was seized at a UK port. The drugs were confiscated by National Crime Agency (NCA) officers, having been hidden in fuel tanks transported within a van.<\/h4>\n

The discovery at Belfast Port, in Northern Ireland, happened in February 2021. The drugs had been smuggled from the Netherlands to England and then by ferry to Northern Ireland. The head of the crime group that orchestrated the importation was 49-year-old Anthony Terry, from Wolverhampton, who was arrested the same day after having been under surveillance.<\/h4>\n

Also involved in the operation was Michael Collis, 63, from Wolverhampton, who acted as Terry’s driver picking up the drugs in the Netherlands. Two other drivers – Joshpal Singh Kothiria, 34, from Wolverhampton, and Mohammed Omar Khan, 39, from Birmingham – were used to supply the drugs to customers in the UK or export them to the Republic of Ireland.<\/h4>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
