Rawat (Pothwar.com, Ikramul Haq Qureshi, 09, August 2023) \u2013 Commissioner Rawalpindi Division Liaquat Ali Chatta visited Benazir Bhutto Hospital and reviewed the medical facilities provided to the public, Deputy Commissioner Rawalpindi Dr. Hassan Waqar Cheema, Vice Chancellor Rawalpindi Medical University Professor Dr. Muhammad Umar, Medical Superintendent and other administrative officers were also with him. While giving a briefing on this occasion, the commissioner was told that the renovation of the emergency block has been completed and it will be fully functional next week. As a result of complaints of overcharging of parking fees at the hospital, the contract of the old contractor was terminated and an FIR was lodged against him, the hospital now has its own staff posted there. Commissioner Rawalpindi strictly directed that a direct FIR should be filed against the person doing overcharging. The commissioner directed that minor technical faults in non-functional ACs should be rectified immediately. He also visited the blood bank and said that people should be made aware of giving to charity by donating blood. He also visited the hospital’s children’s ward, dengue, eye ward, and operation theater and directed that all medical equipment be kept functional.<\/h4>\n
