National title ever. The team is managed by Manager Zufran Asghar (son of Haji Mohammed Asghar) of Choha Khalsa and captained by Hassan Hussain of Bewal and Gujar Khan. Scorpionz won the inaugural Ladbrokes Players Cup beating 15 other teams in the National final held at Birmingham Powerleague. As well as winning the tournament Scorpionz also bagged a 20-thousand-pound winning prize on behalf of Ladbrokes. The tournament was organized by Ladbrokes in one of the biggest tournaments in the UK ever with a huge money prize. The tournament had a qualifying stage across the UK, as they 2 heats in London, Birmingham, Manchester, and Glasgow. The 16 qualifiers all made their way to the grand final on Saturday 1st July in Birmingham to play for the 20-thousand-pound money prize and to be crowned the best 5-a-side football team in the country. Slough Scorpionz who are no strangers to the national stage of 5-a-side football came through as eventual winners beating all comers and eventually winning the final 2-0 vs Barrowfield from Glasgow.
