The campaign will run from June 19 to June 24 in the 42 union councils of Rawalpindi and Taxila. A total of 262,363 children between the ages of six months and 59 months will be vaccinated in six union councils, including 19 in Rawalpindi City, 8 in Rawalpindi Cantt, 10 in Rawalpindi Saddar Tehsil, and 5 in Taxila. According to sources, eight deaths have already been reported in Rawalpindi due to measles. Last year, 256 children in the district of Rawalpindi were affected by the measles outbreak. The District Health Authority officials, including the Superintendent of Vaccination (DSV) and Assistant Superintendent of Vaccination (ASV), have been implicated for their alleged negligence and irresponsibility in the spread of measles.
