Chaudhry Muhammad Fayyaz Akhtar gave a detailed briefing on the issues related to the transportation of goods and gave details of the excesses committed by the customs authorities against the goods transporters. He said, “I will point out this problem in the center very soon. He also gave details of the robberies and non-registration of FIRs on the highways. Further, Fayyaz Akhtar suggested that a consultation consisting of importers, goods transporters, the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Ministry of Communications, the Ministry of Finance and the Customs should be held. A committee should be formed to legislate on the delivery of imported goods, so as to eradicate the scourge of smuggling and under-invoicing, and we, the transporters of goods, are always ready for any kind of cooperation with the Government of Pakistan. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
