In broad daylight, armed robbery took place in Bewal. Rs 2 Lakh was snatched from a postmaster who was carrying cash for pensioners at gunpoint. A Suzuki Carry was on way to Takal, when four armed men on two motorbikes suddenly opened fire and stopped the vehicle at Dhera Kanyal Bewal and snatched Rs 2 Lakh in cash and fled. No one was injured in the firing. Upon meeting, ASP Gujar Khan Hina Naik Bakht, SHO Gujar Khan Zaheer Butt and Chowki in-charge judges Aqeel Rathore rushed to the spot and started investigation. There is fear and panic in the area due to the increasing incidents.
